INTERNATIONAL RECOGNITION FOR SEXUAL ASSAULT DOCUMENTARY

Our interactive documentary CONSENT has just been honoured with two major awards. Last Thursday it won the international Prix Marulic documentary prize in Hvar, Croatia.  Judges said: "the revisiting of a brutal betrayal of trust, using innovative story-telling in combination with contemporary digital technology for the radio of the future: the one in your pocket!"
And closer to home, on the weekend it was awarded the 2019 Atlantic Journalism Award for Excellence in Digital Journalism. 
CONSENT brings awareness to sexual assault issues, and is based on a criminal trial in St. John's, Newfoundland. It was created by Chris Brookes & Emily Deming, with photographs by Bojan Furst, and actors Allison Kelly, Colin Furlong, Jody Richardson, Steve O'Connell, Charles Tomlinson, Darren Ivany, Erin Mackey, and Chris Dunn. ​    Smartphone app.  Free download.
